Thick and Quick Wool Ease is probably my favorite Lion Brand yarn. It's so soft and easy on the hands, plus the soft and springy pastel pallet I bought was just beautiful.
I brought this yarn to knit a sweater. The pattern is the Raglan sweater pattern also by lion brand. It was very easy to knit with and the sweater is very warm and thick. It was my first time knitting a sweater and it turned out very well.
I bought 12 skeins (4 skeins each of 3 colors) of WoolEase Thick & Quick for an afghan for a woman who likes dark colors. The colors are beautifully rich, deep, and saturated! Ordering was quick and easy, and it was delivered sooner than I expected. The thickness was consistent throughout each skein, and I encountered only a few knots. I wonder about the lengths, though. My pattern was very simple and should have used roughly the same amount of each color, but I had about 1 1/4 skeins of Claret, 1 skein of Petrol Blue, and about 10 yards of Butterscotch left over. (I'm still scratching my head...) Anyway, I'm planning another afghan using different colors and I WILL be using this yarn again.
I made the Lorelei Scarf and used Oatmeal. It does shed little black/brown fibers, which is annoying but it did turn out great. I washed it and got some out, so expect stringy fibers in your machines. I only gave 4 stars because of those annoying shedding fibers. Scarf looks great.
The Red Lion Wool Ease was so easy to work with. I made this blanket for my sister for her birthday. First I ordered 8 skeins but then had to order 3 more. Even with different dye lot it looks seamless. I used a new knit pattern and I had to rip it out several times but the yarn held up beautifully and I was able to complete it . I blocked the piece in my basement and it took 3 days to dry fully (super bulky 6 yarn) using a fan without any felting of the wool. So happy with your product- will buy again!!!
I love the weight of this yarn. It worked up with ease and the afghan is beautiful!!
