This pattern is incredible. I have made this for friends and family and everyone loves it. It keeps the neck, ears, face, and head warm. Because of the construction and the combination of neck warmer and hat, it stays on the head. I often wear it with my hooded parka and it stays in place and doesn't slip off, and gives an extra layer of warmth. It is easy to make for an intermediate knitter. The wool ease chunky is a perfect weight.
