Not good

I bought this kit liking the style of t shirt and wanted to try the bamboo yarn. I would never make this sweater again! I sweated blood over it for 2 weeks and it turned out too big and yarn kept snagging. Plus the Icord binding off on bottom, sleeves, and neck tested my patience and hands. I am an accomplished knitter and found this to be not good. If I made it again, I would use a different yarn, and bind off would be totally different. So disappointing.

Hello Jane - we're so sorry that this kit didn't work out for you! Bamboo is a very stretchy plant fiber, so it will tend to grow and not bounce back like an acrylic or wool yarn would. You may be able to reshape it with blocking, or dampen it and put it in the dryer for 5-10 minutes at a time (though we recommend testing that with a swatch first!).

The neck seems huge, I don’t know If I should continue or not.making this sweater. I should have looked at sweater more closely before ordering pattern and yarn.
I am making a small ,seems really big.

Hi Regina - this t-shirt does have a fairly open neckline as the pattern is written. If you wanted to pick up and knit a ribbed neckband rather than the one used in the pattern that would help to close it up a little bit.

Easy Knit

I knit a lot and look for things that are easy and fast for summer wear, this was easy and was done in just a few days. My negatives are that the I-cord bind offs don't have a lot of give/stretch and I also had to adjust the pattern size as it was larger than stated, even going down needle size and working with suggested yarn.

Perfect Tee Shirt kit

Pattern is poorly written. There should be a schematic and clearer directions…it says to separate for armholes when measuring X inches from cast on…from center back, center front, along raglan shaping…all very different lengths.

Yarn has a nice feel, splits easily. Time will tell how it washes and wears over time.

We're sorry you had trouble with this kit pattern! If you'd like help with any of the directions please email us at [email protected] and our customer service team will be happy to assist.

Hard pattern for beginner

I bought this because the pattern said it was for beginners. It definitely is not. I wish it came with pictures after each step so I know what it should look like…

Hi Stephanie - we're sorry you're having trouble with this pattern! While this is a fairly simple sweater pattern, we wouldn't receommend it for your first-ever project if you're just learning how to knit. Please email us at [email protected] and our customer service team will be happy to help with any questions.

I got the yearn, pattern and so looking forward to strating this new project. I must finish a really cool sweater before I start this new project. So looking to make this. Yarn has a lovely feel.
Did not buy any of the accessories as I had no need.
