I'm starting this project: perfect sleeveless tunic..
But it seems the number of stitches (ch) to start with is way too big?
187 for small?

Hi Valerie - checking the gauge of this pattern, 3 repeats will give you about 4' of fabric, so the 14 Shells across the first row (13 full Shells and 2 half Shells) will make the back about 18.5' wide, if you've matched the gauge in the pattern.
