On the small side

I found this pattern impossible to block to the size it was supposed to be. I did do a gage swatch and it was fine. After going up one hook size I was closer but still so a tremendous amount of stretching to get it to the right size. The pattern is cute but I’m not crazy about the neck line.
I am a very experienced crocheter and I use many difficult rating patterns.
I would recommend going up one hook size AND one jacket size
