Pattern:

Rows 1, 3 and 11 (RS) K2, p2, k2. 
Rows 2 and 4 
P2, k2, p2. 
Rows 5 and 9
 Sl 3 sts to cn and hold to back, k3, k3 from cn.. 
Rows 6, 8 and 10 
Purl. 
Row 7
 Knit. 
Row 12
 Rep row 2. 
Rep rows 1–12.

Note: this is a generic pattern for creating this cable. For a single cable it would be 6 stitches. In the example shown, there is one repeat of the stitch with 12 stitches are on either side, so you'd need to cast on 30 (12 + 6 + 12) stitches and knit 12 stitches before and after the pattern.
