Re-Spekt…the recycled yarn with a beautiful tweedy effect! As part of our Sustainable Stitching line, this easy-care CYC #3 Light yarn is made of 45% recycled polyester, 30% acrylic, and 25% cotton, with a modern chainette construction. Select from a gorgeous palette of rich, earthy, marled colors. Re-Spekt has a soft, cottony feel, perfect for stitching up all-seasons garments, shawls, and bags.

This is my 1st time working with the sustainable yarn Re-Spekt, and I like it. I wanted a DK3 yarn to crochet a poncho and Re-Spekt’s color Mesa appealed to me (note: seems heavier than other DK3s I’ve worked with). When the yarn was delivered I liked it even more…the chainette construction brings a certain stability to the finished product and there is a soft color variation to the yarn which lends a certain charm. It was easy to crochet…no splitting, no fraying and no knots. I am very pleased with the result…an easy-to-wear poncho that is casual yet with a sophisticated twist. I’d gladly work with all of Re-Spect’s soft colors. Oh, and I was able to pull the yarn from the center of the skein which I find to be a BIG plus!
I’m so sad they are discontinuing this. It is just dreamy to work with (no splitting!). The yarn has a bit of stretch, which I appreciate for making garments.
Soft an easy to work with. I would call it closer to a 4 then a 3 in weight. Started coco beach circle top 5mm hook not sure it will work for it but will definitely use it.
It is a stiffer yarn than the one I usually use, I liked that it was made of recycled material, that's why I bought it, I'm making some reusable bags for shopping.
I made a bucket hat with this yarn and it worked up super easily! Barely caught on the hook and has a great stretch! The yarn blend gives it some sturdiness while still being quite flexible.
I have been making placemats from this yarn and table runners. The weight, the feel. The texture is perfect for this purpose. Washes beautifully. The core are scrumptious. Keep them coming! Just soft enough. Just enough body.
