I am always a little hesitant to order yarn online that I've never seen or touched in person, but I heard great things about the 24/7 cotton, so thought I'd give it a try for my next baby blanket and I'm so glad I did! The way that the cotton is spun and plied gave it a tiny bit of bounce that made it easier on my hands to work with and since it's mercerized has a nice sheen to it. I bought my first round on Amazon and loved it so much I decided to make the next baby blanket with it in another color, which I ordered direct. I haven't started my green project yet, but pictured is the first (still wet from blocking, unfortunately)
I cannot comment yet on durability or colour fastness, as I've not yet tried to clean anything that I've made with this (hence, the four stars tentatively). However, I did really enjoy the experience of working with this cotton. I'm not really a huge fan of working with cotton because of the rigidity of the fibre, but this was the best I've ever knit with.
Recently, taught myself to crochet. I love the yarns that I bought for the hat. Right now, I am crocheting the granny squares for the Flower Market Bucket Hat.
I love using Lion brand 24/7 for my bucket hats. The colors are vibrant and are easy on the hands.
This Cotton yarn was perfect for a baby sensory blanket, with several different “ bright” colors. The texture was also good for baby to experience different textures. It turns out heavy , but perfect for “ tummy time”!
A beautiful 100% cotton yarn! Soft yet durable and gives great stitch definition. Second time purchasing this and great for quick projects. Perfect for clothing, accessories and home goods. My design, my work - Kermit the frog glasses holder for a Kermit mad friend! Next on the list is a Taylor Swift inspired cardigan!
