I like the pattern and colors but not the mixture of cotton and acrylic yarns. I’ve never had good luck when washing a project with the mixture.

Hi Marilyn - we're glad you enjoyed this kit! Both the Vanna's Choice and Ferris Wheel yarns used in this kit are acrylic, so they shouldn't behave too differently when washing. Since Ferris Wheel is a single ply yarn and a little more delicate we recommend following the washing directions for that yarn.

I can’t wait to start this project. I’m trying to finish up a few other things so I can focus on this.

Lovely yarn, difficult pattern

I am still working on this project and have restarted it four times. The pattern is not easy to follow. I found a video but it is very short and does not clarify the process as well as I would like. I will stick with it because I love the yarn and the design concept, but I may have to revise the pattern to make it work.

Love the colors and love the yarn. I found that the pattern needs more explanation and more illustrations.

Hello Susan - thank you for your feedback! If you have questions on the pattern you can email us at [email protected] for help with the directions.

I had my eye on this kit for some time before I made the purchase and I happily took advantage of a discount offer. I'm currently more than half way through the project, and while I am enjoying the pattern, I anticipate that I am not going to have enough of the Vanna's Choice yarn. The two yarns are noticeably different thicknesses so it makes sense that they would not be used up at that same rate, and yet the kit provides 5 skeins of each as if they are the same. I just finished round 39, and I still have a little more than 3 skeins of the morning java color left, but only a little more than 1 skein of the linen color left. I like how the two yarns look together as far as the color combination, but to be honest, it kind of bothers me that they're not the same weight/thickness. All things considered, I do like the pattern and I intend to finish the project--even if I have to purchase more of the linen yarn in order to do so, but I am not as impressed by the project because of the yarn choices. I would be interested to know if others have had similar problems running out of the Vanna's Choice yarn.

Hello Liz - thank you for your feedback on this kit! Vanna's Choice is on the thicker end of the worsted weight range, almost an aran weight, whereas Ferris Wheel is more of a typical worsted weight. If you did match the blocked gauge in the pattern and end up running out of yarn before the end of your project, please email us at [email protected] for help.

Beautiful blanket

I am excited to start this. All of the yarn was not available to purchase with this kit. I am waiting to get the linen yarn and then I will begin this in the fall.
