Very soft

This is one of the softest acrylic yarns, not meant for babies specifically, that I have ever had the pleasure to work with......Until it isn't. Depending on what hook I am using and how fast I am working this yarn can be incredibly splitty because of the amount of tiny strands that make up this yarn. However, that wouldn't really have affected my star rating for the Jeans yarn because I have worked with this yarn for many projects before. What I don't like and what it lost stars for is the lack of color selection. Just 2-3 years ago (I think that was the last time I used this yarn) there was the Jeans Colors, which was the exact same yarn only it had other colors than just denim themed colors. Like white, khaki, there was even a turquoise, they were bright, summer shades and I loved them, as did many other people, but now we are left with such a small selection of denim themed colors. Well not everyone who is using this yarn to follow a pattern using this yarn, wants to make a denim looking shirt to wear with her denim shorts! Lol You get my drift. So, you loose a star for taking away my colors and the split factor.

Hi Tiffany - if you're missing Jeans Colors we suggest trying Color Theory as a substitute. While the colors are solid, not heatehred, it's also a very soft worsted weight acrylic that is lovely on its own or can be mixed with Jeans as well.

Always my favorite yarn

I search for patterns using the Lion Brand Jeans yarn, because it knits up quickly, I've never found knots, it washes beautifully and falls perfectly. Best. Yarn. Ever! And a deal at $6.99.

Soft and Squishy, but Splits Easily

I'm a huge texture person, so I always worry about buying new yarn online. This yarn was so soft! Good stitch definition, squishy! I will say, when the yarn decides to split, it really splits. But the majority of it held together well. Out of seven skeins, there were anywhere from 0 to 3 factory knots (only one skein had 3). I did have to re-tie most of them.

I will absolutely buy again---once I eat through my current yarn stash. I think a "patchwork" blanket with all the different denim colors will be wonderful.

Beautiful!

This yarn has such a great feel when working with it. I love the warm color and the drape I'm getting in the shawl pattern I'm working on with it. I want to make so many things with the other colors! It can split easily occasionally, but that's easily avoided.
