This is my first time crocheting with #6 super bulky yarn and was surprised at how easy it is with to work with with the larger crochet hooks. Colors are nice just hope the yarn softens up some after washing.
I’ve not used any Acrylic yarn blends for many years. When I say this kit “Modern Mountain Throw” in the Fossil colorway it tempted me so much that I bought it. Wow, I’m so glad I did! The project ( a wedding gift) is coming along nicely and it is going to be super warm and snuggly. I shared it with my friend and she too will be making one for herself. I may need to do one for myself. Thanks Lionbrand for putting this Kit together.
This yarn is great for hats and sweaters, and also for weaving. I love how many color options there are! I would love to see a few neons in there as well (neon green, please!) but am very happ that they have so many lovely muted tones. I got the mustard color for a sweater I am knitting and am in love with it!
When my box arrived it was battered and dirty. Two skeins must have escaped into the truck as they we stuffed into the box with the dirt and grit they collected! I called Lion Brand and they made it right by replacing the two dirty skeins immediately with no fuss!
I have knitted hats with this yarn for years and they are warm and cozy in winter weather. Thank you Lion Brand!
It is thick and quick! Nicely springy, bit of lovely fuzz to the texture, and feels good next to the skin. I’ve been using it to make headband/ear warmers for friends and they’re adorably chunky and come together quickly. And so many great color options!
I saw several ladies in my knitting group working with this yarn and decided to try it. I usually work with much thinner yarns, it I am enjoying this yarn quite a bit. I am making a Tunisian square blanket. Despite the thickness, the yarn is not hard to work with (using P crochet hook). I think it will wash well and be a very warm afghan. The color choices were all interesting too.
