Stitch Explanation:

6-st RC Sl 3 sts to cn and hold to back, k3, k3 from cn.

Pattern:

Row 1 (RS) K1, *k1, yo, k2tog, k4, ssk, yo, k2; rep from * to end. 
Row 2 and all WS rows Purl. 
Row 3 K1, *yo, k2tog, k6, ssk, yo, k1; rep from * to end. 
Row 5 K1, *k1, yo, k2tog, k4, ssk, yo, k2; rep from * to end. 
Row 7 K1, *yo, k2tog, 6-st RC, ssk, yo, k1; rep from * to end. 
Row 8 Purl. 
Rep rows 1–8.

Note: this is a generic pattern for creating this cable. For a single cable it would be 11 stitches. In the example shown, there are 3 repeats of the stitch, so you'd need to cast on 34 (11 x 3 + 1) stitches and do 3 repeats to get a swatch that appears the same.
