Knit Trim: Bud and Stem

Skill level: Intermediate 

A multiple increase followed by gradual decreases shapes the buds on this curvy braid. 

Method 
Note: sk2po-slip one st knitwise, k 2 tog, pass slipped st over. 
Cast on 7 sts. 
1st row (RS) K 1 tbl, [p 2, k 1 tbl] twice. 
2nd row P 1, [k 2, p 1 tbl ] twice. 
3rd row K 1 tbl, p 2, (k 1, p 1, k 1, p 1, k 1) in next st, p 2, k 1 tbl . 11 sts. 
4th row P 1, k 2, p 5, k 2, p 1 tbl . 
5th row K 1 tbl, p 2, k 5, p 2, k 1 tbl . 
6th row As 4th row. 
7th row K 1 tbl, p 2, skpo, k 1, k 2 tog, p 2, k 1 tbl . 9 sts. 
8th row P 1, k 2, p 3, k 2, p 1 tbl. 
9th row K 1 tbl, p 2, s k 2 p o, p 2, k 1 tbl. 7 sts. 
10th row As 2nd row. 
Repeat 1st-10th rows, ending with a 1st pattern row. 
Bind off in pattern.
