Help with afghan

I am trying to find the link where i can ask for assistance. I consider myself to be an advanced knitter and i just cannot get these squares to be square. I have adjusted stiches picked up, but i still seem to have a problem. Is there a tip of sorts to help me get this right. I have tried on the bigger size and the smaller lap blanket, but they are still skew. any help would be appreciated

Hello - please email our pattern support team at support@lionbrand.com and they'd be happy to help with this question!

Fun to do but had to adjust numbers of stitches and needle sizes to keep it squared up.
I started with a # 10 needle and still the guage was too tight.
