Knit Kit - Yooge Big Knit Blanket

SKU: B70267

This project is so much fun and the results are stunning. Rather than buying one of the trendy “big knit” blankets that you see all over the internet, you can easily make your own. Whether you’ve knit your entire life or never touched a pair of knitting needles, you’ll find this to be an enjoyable and quick project. Two sizing options are included in the pattern. Make it long and lovely to lay over the foot of a bed or make it a rectangular lapghan. It’s easy to modify the pattern to make your blanket any shape and size, so get ready to snuggle up!

The wrong yarn for the job!

This was one of the most frustrating knitting experiences of my life! I purchased the kit to make a blanket for my daughter-in-law. Unfortunately the yarn is not suitable for a blanket. It's like a giant clothesline - a cotton tube stuffed with acrylic. It has no drape whatsoever. Once it's knitted up it feels much more like a rug or hammock because the 'yarn' is more like rope than 'yarn.' I would not recommend this for anyone!

Hi Heather - we're sorry this yarn isn't what you were hoping for! It isn't a typical blanket yarn, and is more suited to a statement display piece, or making your own weighted blanket, then something you might like to use on the couch.

Love the faux fur.

I’m not quite sure what I am making with this, but I love experimenting with it bc it feels so amazing.
